Dimes
(how many in a dollar?)

All of the time,
I'm counting my dimes,
Each one is only 10 cents...
But I need a whole dollar,
To purchase some things,
Like a dog, a cat, and a fence…

I’m counting my dimes,
I’m counting by tens,
Starting with ten, twenty, thirty,
Three silver dimes,
Are here in my jar,
One’s shiny,
2 others are dirty…

I have 3 dimes,
But how many more,
Do I need,
To equal 1 dollar?
That’s 100 cents,
If you figure it out,
Just call,
Just give me a holler!
